Each body has independently audited our curriculum, our trainer credentials, assessment rigour, and ethics alignment. Passing all three means our program meets the strictest standards across the board, not just one body’s bar.
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is world's largest organisation for professionally trained coaches and is best known for setting industry standards. It accredits coach training programs and issues the most widely recognized coaching credentials which for the Level 1 certification is the ACC (Associate Certified Coach).
European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) founded in 1992 covers mentoring and supervision as core disciplines, not just coaching, and its competence framework leans more developmental. Despite the name, now operating globally.
Associate of Coaching UK (AC) professional body for coaches, founded in 2002 and headquartered in the UK. It accredits coach training programs and offers individual accreditation at four levels. Distinctive features include client feedback as part of accreditation, professional indemnity insurance requirements, and a strong ethics focus.
Our triple accredited Diploma is wide ranging and has been created to provide structured, high quality teaching with a focus on psychology-based coaching approaches, backed up by scientific research. These include Neuroscience, Positive Psychology & Somatic approaches as well as normative coaching methodologies. This specific training creates the foundation for you to be able to work with clients on a more transformational level. By focusing on what is going on for your client’s brain and nervous system you’re able to coach on a deeper level. We also teach more mainstream approaches such as GROW, to give you a diversity of experience which means you have more tools and techniques in your coaching toolkit.
Our ethos is about coaching practice being at the heart of what you do and we provide regular feedback against competencies to enable you to develop and hone your skills. The Mentoring we provide comes in the form of both Group Mentoring but also 1-2-1 mentoring with an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC). We support you to not only understand yourself on a deeper level but to also get inside your client’s brains to create thinking environments, which form the basis of long term behavioural change. You’ll gain insights into the processes involved in behavioural change and the dynamics of coaching relationships.
The training is delivered in workshop-style group sessions, so you can practice skills and techniques in a safe and supportive environment. We deliberately create small cohort groups so you can build strong relationships and a network of other coaches from a diverse range of backgrounds. You have the chance to coach and be coached in the majority of sessions and observe and experience different coaching styles so you can establish your own unique style and way of coaching within the ICF (International Coaching Federation) framework. We believe in modelling best practices and have lots of example sessions we share with you so you can see different approaches and tools / techniques in action.
We support you to contract as a group and identify how to get the most out of the program. We also frame the course learning and give insight into the ICF core competencies and code of ethics. This is where you get more practical with a focus on more of the “what” of coaching exploring transactional models as well as building on your knowledge of the core competencies.
We explore the GROW model as a frame for coaching conversations and support you to consider how you're "being" as a coach to have deeper more transformational coaching sessions. We'll explore the ICF competencies in practice with observed coaching sessions, tutor led feedback and coaching practice.
